Sleepless

The light of my life once told me that to sleep
alone and to simply enjoy
your own company is the greatest
gift a person could ever ask for.

Whispering secrets to a dark room
filled with nothing but your own thoughts
scares the life out of me.
You see Dear, I was never taught the true
meaning of co-dependence until the night
